xcmd for OS 9 to X

Hi,

I just dug out a stack that uses an xcmd made a couple of years ago. It 
worked on OS 9, which is what I was using at the time, but doesn't want 
to work on OS X.

Does it need to be recompiled? or changed in another way?

I tried setting the externals of the stack to "./nameofexternal" where 
nameofexternal is what ResEdit reports as the name of the code 
resource, but RR reports that it can't find the handler.
