Why won't this work?

Hi Folks... I'm trying to get an image of a graph on a card into a global
variable so I can set a button icon to it in another stack.  The statement
I'm using is...

export snapshot from rect absGraphRect to gGraphImg

When I put gGraphImg into an image, there is nothing shown.  How come?  I
can't see what I'm doing wrong.  The variable absGraphRect  does contain a
set of coords.  I can see it in the variableWatcher.  gGraphImg also
contains something according to the variableWatcher but it won't show an
image.
