I have a SourceForge project which I started nearly 2 years ago - I will
be using that. The licence on that project states that the code is LGPL,
as at the time i figured that it would allow the libraires developed to
link to closed code. There is also some pressure to use a more stongly
influenced public domain style licence. As I understand it the important
thing is to establish the right copyright policy with regard to
submissions, so that the community can debate such issues and make
global changes to the licence as required.

The project is conceived of and structured as a partnership. Anyone
submitting to the project is a partner or owner member. Happy to talk
about how this all works in more detail off-list,

david
