Hi Dan,

This is a problem that quite a few of us have encountered with certain 
projects and although I am not sure exactly what causes it (and 
therefore what to avoid), Jim Hurley posted the quickest & easiest 
solution a few weeks ago, which I quote here:

> If the launch hangs at the "Loading Plug-ins" stage you might suspect 
> that it is that component which is at fault. But it turns out that it 
> is the next component which causes the problem. Try replacing just the 
> "Saves" folder inside the "Components" folder.
