What is Rev doing?

I get the same with usage dropping to about 6% if I either suspend the 
development environment or turn off messages. Interestingly, when I 
tried the same thing with a standalone, I got about 10% usage with it 
too, unless it had a throbbing button in which case it used about 60%.
