The beep command seems to use the current system beep sound.  The 
behavior is platform dependent.  Well, it was last I checked.

My kids download sounds from a few sound sites.  Many sounds are said 
to be free.  I have no idea how many of those are ripped off.  I don't 
know which sound formats have copyright fields, though that shouldn't 
be hard to check.  (A plugin to check copyrights on sounds and images 
would be handy.)  There are places where you can buy sounds.

It would be nice if Revolution had a palette of good quality sounds 
with, uh, clear ownership or whatever it is called.  Something that 
developers have permission to use in products.  Maybe that could be 
added to all the things we dream about for Revolution.
