I understand your point, but maybe we would have less problems if we took
this more seriously.

This has to do with the RR engine displaying graphics; no other software
exhibits this behavior. If I start the stand alone first (and then remote
in), the graphics are displayed correctly. It is the 'Remote Desktop'
feature that is causing the incompatibility (the AirSync is 16 bit only).

The odd thing is, I can have the PC set to 24 bit, start my stand alone, and
then remote in (which changes the PC resolution to 800x600 16 bit) and the
graphics are displayed fine. It is when I start my stand alone from the
AirSync (I am already in my 'remote' session at 16 bit), the graphics are
garbage.

It's like RR has no idea that the environment is 16 bit...

John,

I would never allow myself to be embarrassed by a computer problem. You
just have to be ready for weird things like this as always being a
possibility.

So you are saying that the graphics are always displayed as garbage?
Regardless of whether this Viewsonic Airsync wireless monitor is used?
Or is it only when you use the"Remote Desktop" Feature of this monitor?
Or is the Remote Desktop a part of another software?

I use remote desktop control software (Timbuktu and Apple Remote
Desktop as well as Virtual PC with PC Anywhere) and graphics are the
first thing to offer up problems. Good graphics are heavily dependent
on RAM and Video cards etc. Each computer having different specs, this
is hard to check for.

I would try and track down a couple of issues. You say that only some
show up as garbage? Then check if they are all in the same format. If
some are jpg and others png etc. then make them all the same format as
the one that works. Or you can try a couple of formats with the suspect
graphic and see if any show up ok. I would also check the graphic
itself and maybe reduce the resolution of those graphics giving you
problems.

Are all of them the same specs? RBG, DPI, Resolution etc?

Are some bigger than others?

Are some embedded and others referenced?

Hopefully you just overlooked one of these and can fix it.

If you still can't find a solution then is the project small enough to
download off the web? I can look it over. I usually can find solutions
for issues like this.
