small correction:
        Sunday translated in dutch ("hl" -> Holland) is "Zondag".

on Mac OS X you can get the language by 
	word 1 of item 1 of line 2 of shell("defaults read NSGlobalDomain
AppleLanguages") 
 		-> "English"  or "Dutch" or  "German" or ...
