Well, I already got a List of features for 2.0:

individual colours
allow each chatter to have his own colour, but I am unsure about this, 
might not implement it.

spam filter
What if someone sends infinite messages? need to accommodate for that.

sound alert
sound alerts when someone posts a message or logs in/out.

ignore
ignoring a offensive chatter.

editing "real name" mouseover
so you can put status messages there.

clickable links
posted links should be clickable and direct you to its content.

double login bug
When someone logs in twice in short succession, without properly login 
out he appears twice in the chat.

pong <> error message
pong happens too often to be a error message remove it.

maybe pong bug?
I am not sure if there is a bug with the ping / pong messages getting 
send too often.
