frontscripts (the script property)

Thanks for all the responses to my := query! I was wondering if placeing a GetProp/SetProp handler in front scripts to x-lat := into the put XXX into XXX syntax and back again upon get (possibly even build my own parse tree). Is this a viable option? Are there any other considerations?
