Using one's own images for cursors

Just how many custom cursor are you using?  I once considered making an 
automated solution, but it's so easy to do manually the cost/benefit 
ratio just wasn't favoring automation.

After importing the image, just click on any empty portion with the 
eraser tool.  You may want to set the eraser brush to the one-pixel size 
to avoid erasing any part of the image.  After closing the image, the 
change causes the engine to recompress the image and in doing so it sets 
the color order correctly.

I once complained to Scott Raney about this, but he sez that the 
engine's color order is always the correct order, while other GIF tools 
allows color order that varies from the specs.

There may be a way to get Photoshop to use the standard color order, but 
I've found it so easy to touch up images within MC/Rev that I never 
bothered to look deeper into it.
