I didn't see your original post and don't know where to find it based 
on the number - do you have a url or thread title?  There should be an 
easy fix to whatever was causing the problem so you won't have to use 
avi.

Depending on the codec you used when you exported to this can be 
expected.  If you were to export your screen capture to a QT movie 
using DV NTSC the file would be much larger as well.  I am not very 
familiar with the avi files though so I don't know how you could 
improve file size.
