I'm confused. Why would you *want* to fiddle with the *style* of the htmlText of anything? The htmlText is a plain, unadorned character string; it just so happens that some of the characters in that string are really "stage directions" which tell a browser (or Rev, I guess...) how to display the *other* characters. Once you've got the htmlText, you can then add or subtract those "stage directions" to affect how various bits of it are displayed -- but wouldn't it be simpler to just blow off the htmlText, and simply say "set the textStyle of word X of field Y to BOLD"? Yikes! Guys, I'm really sorry. This is partly my fault, I managed to approve this message (which the mail software had correctly marked for moderation) without observing it had an attachment...! Sadhu, in answer to your question, no, this list does not normally accept attachments. They come over as garbage in digest mode, and take up bandwidth, not to mention alarming the virus conscious and causing the list to bounce off filters like a rubber ball. Also, if you could send as plain text only, that would be great, again html formatting and such like just translates to gibberish for the majority of listers. Thanks, and sorry again...I'll try to be more careful in future :( Regards, Heather -- Heather Williams Runtime Revolution Ltd. Please feel free to comment on any of them. I will be uploading version 1.7.8 later today. :-) Known issues: There is a bug in the scripts that change the size of the RCB Tools palette under certain conditions. If you dismiss the palette when one of the RCB Object set up groups is open. The palette will resize itself and obscure the setup grp. Because of the way the script is written when this situation occurs the palette will collapse and become unusable. If this happens to you quit revolution and relaunch. the palette will reset itself. I will try to fix this in the next version. There is some controversey about the ?Go Back? and ?Continue? buttons on content cards. Some folks feel that it would be better if they were replaced by arrow buttons. This issue is still under active debate. Let me know how you feel about it. It is possible to modify the Learning module stack to a significant degree. Be aware that if you delete cards or buttons that are prebuilt into the learning module you could cause your stack to malfunction. In almost all cases I have sought to make this difficult to do. Difficult not impossible. Regards, Steve -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... I will be uploading 1.7.8. to Runtime Revolution this afternoon. It should be available tomorrow. There are quite a few improvements in this version. :-) 5/1/2003 Added new icons for the RCB palette. RCB palette icons are smaller. The RCB palette icon is shown whenever the RCB palette is showing and is used to indicate that the learning Module is in the "Editing" mode. If the Learning Module stack is in the Editing mode and the RCB palette has been dismissed an icon showing a dimmed RCB palette covered with an "X" is shown. If the Learning module has been placed in the "Presentation" mode a presentation mode icon is displayed. Clicking this icon sends the user back to the editing mode. Added a Notes icon to the Notes button of the RCB palette. Added a "Notes" Stack to the plugin that is invoked by clicking the "Notes" button of the RCB Palette. Added new email button to the fieldGroup Object. Clicking this button shows a group inwhich a user can type an email Address and subject. Clicking the transfer button sends that information along with the contents of the fieldGrps field to the users email application for transmission. :-) ( Sounds like automated email assignments to me!) Fixed some bugs in the bGOs of cards c-1 and c-2 that would result in malfunctions if the Main Point and Practice bGOs were deleted. Now these bGOs can be deleted without any issues. Fixed palette collapse bug. The script now uses the height of the stack rather than the rect of the stack to determine whether or not to grow the stack window. B 1.7.8 I think that this is the features set that will ship. Most likely I will not be adding any more Objects at this time. Please try to spend some time with this version. I continue to find occasional small bugs but nothing to bad. Thanks again for your help. Best Regards, Steve Stephen R.
