The problem was, as Klaus said, the full stop character at the end. If 
it works for you then I guess we have discovered that our browsers 
behave differently when they see that on the end of the URL. No 
problem, I have it now thanks.

FYI, I am using Omniweb 4.1 on OS X 10.2.
