Posting attachments and list formatting

Ahem. There was a regrettable attachment tagged on to that post... Please,
don't post attachments to the list, and try not to use html formatting or
MIME or any other decorative text enhancements. Plain text only, if at all
possible. It gets scrambled and comes through as garbage for the digest
listers, who make up the vast majority of the members on this list.
