mouse messages to invisible controls

And, as we discovered, the check box for "highlight when clicked" 
on the button tab needs to be unchecked.  I'm not sure what 
property this controls.

Thanks, Devin.  I'm not sure how we missed this.  Maybe we had gone 
on to graphics before trying opaque.
