Hi everyone,
I’ve managed to get LiveCode Community 9.6.3 working on macOS Tahoe
using the appropriate patch released by the OpenXTalk team. Obviously,
this is only useful for in-house software development, since if you
distribute compiled applications, you’ll need to apply the patch to the
operating system. macOS Tahoe still uses Rosetta 2, which they say will
be deprecated in macOS 27, so LiveCode should continue to work at least
on macOS with updates until 2029, after which the LiveCode Community
edition on macOS will be over. I’m currently also trying to get it
working on Linux operating systems with pure Wayland (like the new
versions of **Fedora/Red Hat/**etc.), but I haven’t been successful yet.
I recommend not using this in production and using the current paid
version of LiveCode if you need a serious app.
Best,
Hery
