This has probably been asked before. I have a request to include the standalone version of an application in the About splash screen. I would like to access the value from the Standalone Settings, either when building the app or after it’s done, but I can’t find a function for that. This stack uses various libraries : dialogs, xml, zip, internet, table, datagrid... In the IDE everything works as expected. The problem begins with inclusions when I try to build standalones : - if I choose "select inclusions for the standalone" and select manually all libraries, none of them are included in the standalone and it doesn't work properly - when I choose "search for required inclusions", some of them are included but not all, and the missing ones are never the same in different trials. At first, I tried to build both Mac & Win standalones in 1 step ; then I tried to build them separately, the the problem remains the same. And the missing inclusions are not the same in the Mac and in the Win apps. I tried on Mac Intel with Catalina, and on Mac M4 with Sequoia. What other options do I have ? Thank you in advance. jbv From jbv at souslelogo.com Tue May 27 04:39:20 2025 From: jbv at souslelogo.com (jbv at souslelogo.com) Date: Tue, 27 May 2025 04:39:20 -0400 Subject: Inclusions issue when building standalones In-Reply-To: <71043141402b6bac01fcd48ad2f29f28@souslelogo.com> References: <71043141402b6bac01fcd48ad2f29f28@souslelogo.com> Message-ID: <16206758d09826cd60411b6428cb7a27@souslelogo.com> Hi list, For the record, I found the origin of my problem : a substack features a datagrid that was somehow corrupted, and it was the mess with inclusions in standalones, although it was working fine in the IDE. Replacing the faulty datagrid by a new one solved the problem. BTW I was wondering : how does auto-detection of inclusions work ? Does it analyze the structure of the stacks, or does it scan the scripts for commands relative to libraries ? Can please anyone using a german Windwos system give us some clues where to find this? We also DEinstalled everything and created a folder for the SDK installation in the users folder so we can find at least THAT folder. But then LC tells us that there is no valid SKD in that folder although we can see them in the explorer. This MUST be simplified somehow, my dear mothership! 8-) Thanks a lot in advance! My student can also get a Macbook Air, so hopefully I (a Mac guy) will get it to work on that machine. Best Klaus P.S. In my example, I specified D:\Android\SDK. I can then navigate to folder and see it's contents. In Livecode, my location of SDK is D:/Android/SDK When viewing the settings of Android Studio SDK, there is an EDIT button/text next to the current location. You should be able to change location and download SDK's to that chosen location.
