The Files Function borked?

Yeah I'm getting the same thing; if you use the "old" way, it works properly:

put the directory into tOldDir
set the directory to "/Users/bobsneidar/Downloads/"
put the files
set the directory to tOldDir

That is only a fraction of the files in that folder. Whaaa???
