LC Built Apps held Hostage, Runtime execution rent - looked at FAQ

Hi everyone,

I really enjoy LiveCode and its syntax. I’ve tried many programming
languages over the years, and LiveCode is still the one I like the most.
Instead of arguing about it, why not just use another language? There are
plenty of choices out there.

LiveCode truly helps me stay productive. Even if an application requires a
“phone call home,” and even if I know how to bypass it, I would still
choose to use LiveCode. If licensing ever becomes an issue after my death,
there are legal ways to make sure things continue properly.

I’ve been a professional developer for over 25 years, and I believe
choosing LiveCode is the right decision. LiveCode should continue focusing
on stability. If you don’t agree, there are many other languages available.
But for me, LiveCode is the one that really boosts productivity.
