Xcode 15.01 working with LC?

I'm using LC 9.6.11 on an M1 Ventura with Xcode 15.0.1 (command line tools point there)
I have built 2 of my apps and the both show splash screen then immediately crashes before first card is shown.
I'm testing on an iPad mini iOS 12.5.7. When testing in the simulator it starts but the app never gets installed and the standalone builder windows hangs on "Launching app..." LC is unresponsive and a Force Quit is needed.
Any ideas?
Thanks

just tried it, again, and then started digging.
on the first attempt, i got the linking error then i fired up xc 15.0.1, and looked at the xcode command-line tools - sure enough, it was set to 14.2. i changed that to 15.0.1, and now the builds link with 9.6.11 and xc 15.0.1

On the first day, God created the heavens and the Earth On the second day, God created the oceans.
On the third day, God put the animals on hold for a few hours,
   and did a little diving.
And God said, "This is good."
