Windows 11 incompatible?

There is an issue on Windows that would show similar symptoms. That is, if a window is opened off screen it’s as if the application has frozen.

To see if that is the problem, type Alt-spacebar, M, any arrow key, and move the cursor. The offscreen window will be attached to the cursor, and a left-click will drop it off in the right place.
