I wasn't using "pan" because I completely forgot we had it now. I just tried it and it works 
great. I did not have any problem entering visible text into the lower fields. I'm on a Pixel 
5, which is pretty new, running Android 11 so maybe that matters. I'm not sure what older 
versions will do. I built with LC 9.6.5 rc-1.

Thanks for the reminder, it helped. I was ready to implement the resizing suggestion Devin made 
if this failed, and we get bad feedback about panning then I'll do that instead.
