I don't know if this is a dissociation of the Script Editor but bug 22555 can fool you into thinking that the script is compiled although it is not. It only occurs if you have "Live Errors" unchecked. It is in "Edit" -> "Options" when Script Editor is open.

I think that one is easy to fix and a proposed fix is in the bug report and has been made a pull-request

Of course my proposed fix might not be the right fix but it works.
