Ask Command on Android

Greetings!   When I run the ask command on a iOS device, the dialog appears, the soft keyboard appears and you can begin typing.   However, on a Android device, the dialog appears but the keyboard doesn't not immediately open.   You have to tap into the text area of the ask dialog to open the keyboard so you can type.    Is there a way to get the keyboard to appear immediately like it does on iOS?
