text manipulation with Chinese characters (unicode): guide?

I won't pretend to know anything about Chinese.

BUT, I have just copy-pasted 你好 from a Google Translate window into an 
LC text-field.

I have, also, copied Chinese ideographs from one text-field and posted 
them into a second one.

Dead easy. :-)
