Is "import snapshot" without parameters broken?

Thanks to all that responded.

I have found now what is causing the malfunction of the import / export snapshot commands. And i think this is a bug. 

I have 2 displays connected to my Mac. The main display is on the right. The resolutions are not the same. The main display has a lower one.
With this setup import/export snapshot do not work.

With same resolution on both displays import/export snapshot only work when the main display is set on the right in System Preferences

When setting the system to synchronize the displays ( both show the same content) then import/export works also.

While investigating i found some other anomalies.
