past unformatted & inspector field "styled text"

Hi all,

when I "paste unformatted"*** into the field "styled text"
in the inspector for a field, nothing gets into that namely 
field in the end!?

***Via menu or shortcut

As if I did not paste anything!

Can someone please confirm this before I report this as a bug?
Or is this an undocumented feature? 8-)
