I had a look to see if I could reproduce this bug, I could not but I found another :

May be related to "Bug 20240 - Selecting Text With A Click and Drag of the Mouse in the Script Editor Does Not Always Select a Contiguous Block of Text"

I have just tried to reproduce the bug reported in report 20240 and failed. However, I found a problem that is repeatable and may be related:

https://quality.livecode.com/show_bug.cgi?id=22195 <https://quality.livecode.com/show_bug.cgi?id=22195>

1. Select a block of text in the IDE.
2. Drag down to new location and drop : the text is moved.
3. Go to edit menu and click 'undo' : the dragged text is deleted - ouch!

I would expect the undo command to restore the text to its original location.

I am unclear as to the status of 20240 as it is marked as resolved yet there is discussion about it on the groups along with a bounty.

It may help the investigation into 20240,

Simon
