This Web URL Stopped Working in LiveCode all versions. HELP!

This URL suddenly stopped working in LC. I tried 6.7.11, 9.04 and 9.5 IDE
with same results. It returns garbage. I looks like some sort of encryption
problem? If you put this URL into a browser it returns the expected json.

Put this into the message box. It returns garbage.
put url ("https://api.apixu.com/v1/current.json?&days=10&q=Bandon+OR+97411")

can anyone confirm?
This broke my mobile apps on both Android and iOS.
