Text to Speech

Folks:
I’m wondering if there is any text to speech capability in livecode. There are references to it when I do a Google search, but I don’t get any sound when I do:

  on mouseUp
        revSpeak "Hello, How are you?"
    end mouseUp

I don’t get any sound. 

I would want to use it for more than a simple alert. Is this practical?
