Another factor in the iOS support compared to Android is that with iOS the majority of users update to the latest version right away, whereas with Android you’re at the mercy of the phone manufacturer, who may never get around to updating their version of the OS.

The percentage of users with the current Android version is somewhere just over 15%. iOS 9 is above 89%. Will be interesting to see how quick iOS 10 is adopted when it’s released on Tuesday. 0.6% are already on it!
