Geometry Manager on mobile?

I don't use the GM myself; I've always preferred to have complete 
control over my layouts, and enjoy writing resizeStack handlers for 
every platform I deploy to.

But I know some like the GM, but I have a vague recollection of it not 
being suitable for mobile.  Is that correct?

Given the significance of mobile among our deployment options, if my 
recollection is correct it would seem critically useful to identify any 
issues that may prevent the GM from being useful on those devices.

If the issues are prohibitively expensive, maybe deprecation would be 
the better choice.

Or best, perhaps my memory is failing and the GM is just fine on mobile.

Anyone here use the GM for mobile work?
