Playing sound files

No, callbacks are still alive and well in AV Foundation.

I’m seeing that adding a parameter to a callback list isn’t working now. Parameters weren’t in the dictionary pre-LC6.7 but seemed to work.

Issues with QT—things used to work better; it seems that as new versions of OS X are released, QT breaks here and there. I can’t record audio files now. It also seems that QT’s ability to play files from the Internet is degrading with OS upgrades. Data download is very slow and often stalls.

AV Foundation, on the other hand, is great—fast and reliable.

I could never figure out why, since you'd think a callback would report the currentTime regardless of the streaming speed, but it didn't.
