In this mail list, Richmond self-assigned duty is, 
in his own words: "stir the pot" 
And he is very successful at this. :D

There is a name, a greek name, in classical theater
for the character that fills that role in a play.
In a play, this character helps to develop and
advance the plot until it reach author's purpose or
logical conclusion.
