BackgroundColor

Thanks Craig, I figured I'd have to invent something.  I haven't used
measureText before but looking at the dictionary, it seems to indicate the
measurements all relate to the text itself.

However, I do know the textheight and the width of the item so I should be
able to do as you suggest.
