Does Version 7.0.4 work with Xcode 6.3.1?

Mark,
maybe a dumb question, but..
How is the 8.2 SDK selected when building an iOS standalone?
Do i have to have only Xcode 6.2 added to the „Mobile Support“ section in LC prefs without having Xcode 6.3 added?
I still have no clue how the „Build for“ in standalone settings does work or what happens if 2 or more XCode versions are added which support the same iOS SDK.
