This should work. Are you sure that all your data is 1's and 0's? The format you have set for the baseConvert function requires binary source data ONLY. (no 7's, for  example, or anything hex like "1C")

It could be I am writing the part below wrong.

repeat with x = 1 to the len of theData -8 step 8

What I am trying to do is get 8 characters and process
the eight characters and do it for the length of theData.
Is that written wrong?
