I'm curious about what he started with. If he had on hand a C++ or Obj-C implementation source, thats  quite different from a scratch start. I'm learning about Swift now, and I'll spend more than 4 hours with the manual (and the playground) before I'm ready to do much of anything useful. By the way, I like it. It will NOT threaten LiveCode.
