[OT] Mavericks Auto Save and Red Traffic Light plus Back Dot

I’m using 10.9.1 on a 13 inch MBP, and with TextEdit I never see that black dot. I can type frantically and quit the app in mid keystroke, and still the document had already saved the changes. Your symptoms suggest you’re not on 10.9.
