[OT] PhET Interactive Simulations

I would like to run many of these wonderful simulations:

http://phet.colorado.edu/en/simulations/category/new

but they are locking up (crashing?) and each time, I have to
terminate Java in Lubuntu and Firefox falls in a awful recursion
after visiting *.jnlp webpages... :(

Please report if you have more sucess
running these *.jar executables and
opening the jnlp webpages
