I could live with new syntax for rows and columns, because at least the
scope is better, BUT, with the caveat that we don't treat null last columns
like they aren't there, the way we treat null last items like they aren't
there.  DBMS's don't like it when you do an INSERT with the wrong number of
values, for instance.
