Best Practice for Storing Icon Images

Well, I don't know about "best", but I'll tell you what I do:

Most of my apps have a substack named "<appName>RSRC", e.g.,
"WebMergeRSRC", and that's where I store images and other odds and ends 
I need for the app.

I use the "*RSRC" identifier only because it readable enough to remind 
me what it is yet stands out from other names in the stack list.
