It seems that Apple have the ability to block the use of programs installed
on a user's computer and have done that for Java.

I understand that there are currently security risks associated with Java,
although I thought a patch had been issued to fix them, but it's pretty
scary to me that Apple can block the use of any program I install on my
computer.
