MySQL vs Joomla/Drupal/Wordpress re GPL requirements

I don't think that using a database would be comparable to plugins for
a program (or kernel, or . . .).  You are creating a program that
talks to the MySQL program.  It could just as easily talk to another
program.

Such concerns, though, are one of the reasons I chose postgreSQL with
it's freer license . . .
