Executing Livecode Server from command line

I've seen some forum posts that indicate there might be a problem Executing
Livecode Server from the command line.

At any rate, just typing the name of the iRev file
"livecode-server-test_Color.irev
​"  and hitting return doesn't run the script.​
error returned:
-bash: livecode-server-test_Color.irev: command not found

this script runs fine on the web

I obviously don't spend a lot of time in Terminal.

Is it broken or am I just being dumb?
