Uncommenting a script

Sounds like an Apple keyboard to me. So command-dash comments and
shift-command-dash does nothing? Unless your shift key is broken (you'd
probably have noticed), I have no explanation.

No, I have a standard Apple Wireless Keyboard.  It's white and has the
Apple logo on the back with the words "Wireless Keyboard".
