ahah! retrieving the arrays of indices

I was going to ask the question, but I found the answer :)

I need to use a two dimensional array to hold the actual key for a
database and the corresponding display value for a slider.  Sanity
seems to require that the array have sequential integers beginning
with 1 for the index.  But how to find out what they are?

put the number of elements in someArray

will yield this.
