Hi Pete:
Use duplicate gradient stops in the ramp:
0.00000,255,0,0 -- red 0%
0.50000,255,0,0 -- red 50%
0.50000,0,255,0 -- green 50%, same position as above
1.00000,0,255,0 -- green 100%
