Why not search the web with Lycos? and use Lynx as your web-browser?
When I visit my Mum and Dad I hook up one of the original, tray-loading
iMacs running Mac OS 10.3.9
to the internet and use iCab and so forth: not completely uptodate; but
saves lugging a computer
around.
